I am back from beautiful Phuket. (:
So here's a few updates with some pictures, with the rest of it.

19th April 2008
Met nesh at his place around 2 plus, waited for him to finish his dinner before we headed to the airport. Check in queue was empty because we were there pretty early! Anyhoos, visited kumara at fish&co and we had pasta&shrimp salad, mushroom salad, Sharkie Freeze and a Hot fudge chocolate with vanilla ice-cream. Went to the DFS at T1 to meet nesh's mom. We decided to get pre-orders for our liquours. And because his mom works in the dfs, we got 25% off our liquours! Then headed back to T2 for departure. Did'nt get to walk around the airport due to time constraints. Flight was uneventful. Reached our hotel at around 8pm Phuket time. Decided to just roam around the place for a while since there was'nt much we could do. Saw a plentiful of trannies and what not. I like how the place is so very cosomopolitan! And we actually got high on our first night. Beers there are dirt cheap. A big bottle of Singha costs us just 1.50 cents- Singapore dollars. while beers are cheap, almost everything else was a little pricey. I also started having a flu and eventually felt feverish and stuff. urrgh
20th April 2008
woke up in the late morning, headed for phuket city. Basically spent the ENTIRE day shopping in phuket city. Had some educational experiences like learning how Pearls are formed in clams and actually WATCHING a gold-smith construct rings and jewellery! it was awesome. The sunday market had a fare of local delights which never failed to overwhelm me! Everything seemed so yummy! From Mango sticky rice to Large barbequed squids to even fried insects. Okay the fried insects did'nt seem too appetizing. We were dead tired from all the walking and shopping. And yes, my boyfriend CAN shop like crazy. i think we're both shopaholics when we have the cash. Lol. So we headed back to Patong beach, bout 30 minutes from the city. Headed to our hotel, shopped around AGAIN at the market near our place and we headed for a HOUR long massage at 12am-phuket time. It was Sooo relaxing and darn good! haha just that nesh seemed to be in agony a few points in time. hahaha

we had to wake up early morning, took the scheduled minibus to the Rassada Harbour near Phuket City. Boarded the speedboat to Phi Phi Island and a few other beaches. Basically it was the highlight of the trip. Really awesome time, hopping from beaches to beaches. Swimming and snorkelling. At one point in time, we actually saw like a sandbed filled with SEA URCHINS. Like wtf! i started freaking out and swimming back to where most of them were snorkelling at. And then, at Maya Beach..nesh was saying that when he ventured out into deeper waters, i happened to somewhere else looking for him! And he said he saw this silver and blue fish about 1-metre long(he swears upon that) and suddenly there was like 2-3 other of the same fish joining it..all of the same size. And he said that they were giving him that "why are u in my territory" kinda look..and seeing that..he said he swam for his life back to where the boat was. Lol. wth right! but hearing it was kinda freaky as well...he said it could be a barracuda! We also had a buffet lunch at phi phi dom, food was good and the speedboat headed back for phuket at around 2pm-phuket time and by the time we got back at the hotel, it was bout 2 hours later and I WAS SUNBURNT. i swear i had the worst sunburn in my entire life and i was as red as a lobster. as nesh puts it, it was a weird tan and looks like an "ang-moh" tan. Or caucasian tan. Anyway we were dead tired but did'nt want to spend our last night in the hotel. So we walked to jungceylon, the nearest shopping centre, shopped a little, for souvenirs and had a feast of good dinner. And we caught a movie at their local theatres. Watched the forbidden kingdom ! Pretty good. Action packed and funny. I give it 3 out of 5 popcorns! headed back to the hotel late in the morning. Watched 2 episodes of House on tv before heading out for supper or early breakfast at 4Am in the morning. And thenn, i started having diarrhea. like urggh!!

Our last day! I was kinda cranky and stuff..did'nt exactly wanna go home. had lunch, i did a pedicure and cabbed to the airport..we were there extremely early and there was'nt much to do. So we grabbed some bites and headed to a sitting area where we just talked and watched CNN for like more than an hour before boarding our flight. hated the flight back home simply because it was a bit too noisy for my liking. This bunch of passengers were extremely loud and noisy and the cabin crew were well..laughing and talking a tad too loudly for my sleepy, cranky-i-dont-want-to-go-home mood. And for the last 30 minutes of the flight, my sensitive ears worked up on me due to the air pressure so much so that it became unbearable and add on the noise and everything else..got me wanting to touch down as soon as possible! At changi, we collected our liquours and headed home. Kinda started to miss him when we were in the bus to pasir ris. :(
